Where's the best place to live in the South Pacific? and why?

on land - no sharks

The Cook Islands. They aren't over-run with tourists and there are frequent direct flights to Hawaii and New Zealand.

The South Pacific, also know as the French South Pacific, or French Polynesia--Tahiti.
Dad is from there and have been there several times. It's hot. It can get boring. You can go nutso if you don't get use to it.

Norfolk Island in so.pac. is approx 6oo miles from Auckland N.Z., it is an english speaking island that is tropic,beautiful has the charm of english country side & cottages,lovely town and is very safe,lowest crime rate of any of the so.pac.islands,the people are most hospitable the food/lodgings are most reasonable & the cleanliness is remarkable.Quite a history,Norfolk Island like Australia was founded aas a prison colony,then many of the Mutiney on the Bounty descendants were relocated to Norfolk..The beaches are pristine,the vistas from inland are breathtaking,the people tht live there are happy & enjoy a relaxed,peaceful life. To visit there is to relax,refresh,renew in a beautiful setting that is about half the cost of other so.pacific islands such as Tahati,Fiji,Bali,Hawaii.If you like raucaous night life & wild parties,Norfolk is not for you. When going to New Zealand or Austalia it is well worth the side trip to Norfolk It is a wonderful place to live ,retire or to raise a family in relative peace away from crime rates,urban blight & fears of not being safe
