SURVIVOR... south pacific again?

Why does the show SURVIVOR always seem to pick a location in the south pacific? Why not some place cold or diff.
and or in or near Panama

cold is one element too dangerous to fight...you can fight the heat and the bugs and the sun but you can die in extreme cold

To make it a tropical environment but hey isn't Panama a South American country?

because the women running around in thick coats wouldnt help the ratings any.

I've often wondered the same thing....I mean I'm sure there are some more places that are suitable "survivor" alternatives.

Not enough bugs and snakes when it is cold, what other shots would they give us to make it look so "dangerous". Besides that Jeff likes a tan.

you could probably not hold a show such as surviror in a cold climate because it could cause serious helath problems and would probaby even cause death. but it would probably be a cool and add even more drama to an already drama filled show.

Because it is lovely there. You don't think that people would go on the show if it was set in a could and miserable place do you?

Ive often wondered this myself, In my opinion I believe it would be to hard for them to film for one and get shots that will enhance the ratings. there would be no 1/2 naked people running around with issues. they would all be in the tent freezing with coats and long johns on. As much as I would like to see a cold episode I don't think they would be able to market it. and probably don't want the legal hassle should some one freeze to death. But I'm with you I would love to see it somewhere different.

Tool-Man had it right. They gotta be able to show boobies and butties on the show, otherwise rating will go down even further. I'm getting sick of the show myself. Maybe they need Simon to select the players. You need an interesting, diverse group of people. Not just one Black Woman, or one Asian Man. Or all skinny woman with their cheeks showing. Come on Survivor the first 4 or 5 were okay, not it's getting boring. I too am tired of the Hot, nice places. It's called Survivor not "Get naked under the Sun". Also the games would be different and interesting.
