The L.A. Zoo is ok. They have the new gorilla exhibit. I would call first or check their website to see what exhibits are closed for the day. The San Diego Zoo is ok as well, but I wouldn't go on the weekend, it gets pretty crowded. Loved the Aquarium of the Pacific.

I love the San Diego Zoo. Its huge and there is a ton to see. Plus the pandas are adorable! The San Diego Wild Animal Park is cool too because you get to see the animals in larger enclosures.
The LA Zoo is small so I wouldn't suggest going there, its alright but nothing really to speak of. Aquarium of the Pacific I heard is great but I've never been. |

Surprisingly, I'd give it to the San Diego Zoo. AOP is OK, but it's just a little too "politically correct" for me. Nothing wrong with conservation and preservation of wildlife, but it just seems like they ram their agenda down your throat. I find it ironic that they have a list of endangered seafood that they hand out, telling you not to eat shrimp. What's right across the street? Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, that's what?
LA Zoo is not as good. |

I've been to all the three and I would have to say the San Diego Zoo would be the best.
The aquarium was ok not much to do. Same with the LA Zoo. We use to go every year when I was in elemtary and it hasn't changed much now that I'm 24. So my answer, to have a long day and have plenty to do would have to be the San Diego Zoo |
