I would go to the south as Seattle cost so much to live here and our freeways are the worse in the nation..It takes me almost 3hrs to get to work and 4hrs to get home,,,when i get home it;s almost time to go again....lol

As I understand it, you'd get more cloudy and rainy days in the NW; more sun and humidity in the S. Both, I hear, have good job markets.

One other consideration would be how far you want to live from your family.

I would deffinetly choose Seattle, WA!! It is absolutly beautiful here. You have mountains, the ocean and forest all in your back door. It is rather expensive but worth every penny. Let me ashure you, it will not take you three hours to get home from work unless you live three hours away from work! I live near Seattle and it never takes me that long to get there! Some great things going for seattle is all the variety of outdoor sports you can play here, from exceptional skiing to water skiing you can get it all. Lake Washington is a beautiful place to live if you can afford it. City life is great and Bellevue(15 minutes from Seattle) is a great place to raise a family. It is rainy in the winter but when its sunny in the summer it is amazing! I hope this helps!

I would look at what you enjoy doing and consider which place offers the best opportunity. You can get pro and cons for both places.
