How does "Younger than springtime" fit into South Pacific the musical?

I have to sing the song for class, and I can't find a synopsis that makes sense and I have to know how the song fits into the musical and about the character who sings it... Broadway buffs, help me out!

The character who sings is a mature planter who has fallen in love with a young nurse. He is saying that she makes him feel young again. The play has several romantic conflict: The young girl and older man and the young sailor who has fallen in love with an island girl of another race.

Find a "Rogers and Hammerstein" website or ? and I'm sure you will find it there. After all, they are the create rs of the play. If you can't find one, try to get the video "The sound of MOVIES".
