Default If you were spending 2 weeks in the south pacific, where would your "must visits" be?

We are planning a trip and enjoy water sports, relaxing, good food-(not really interested in diving with sharks). Just thought it would be good to see if anyone has itinery suggestions.
Thx

This is a question bigger than Ben Hur and very subjective.

The options are vast. Your best bet is to go onto the TourismRanking directory and research the opportunities on the National and StateTourism Websites. These sites have done a lot of work to present the key attractions, events, activities supported by plenty of images.

Here's some sample links.

Then you need to match that up to an accommodation directory

South Pacific is a big place just have a look at a map of the area in the link below..
http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/australia/oceania_ref02.jpg.
Obvious choices are New Zealand (great aslmon fishing) and Australia (the reef etc) but there are lots of great choices in the less obvious places.
Vanuatu, Tonga, tuvalu for example. A recent episode of lifestyle programme "getaway" featured whale swims in tonga where you get in the water and the humpback whales come up to you- looked fantastic.
This is a link to the programmes site so you can see for yourself but it also has a search facility where you can put in a place name like vanuatu for intstance and it will bring up stories it has done on that place.

So if you check out on the map soeme places that are close together and then check them out on getaway and develop your own special intenary.
hope that helps a little.
