Oceania is not a line that typically operates in the US so its an unknown to me. But from what i see about it its a cruise line that has smaller ships, like the older versions of many cruise lines. and it provides better service because there are fewer passengers and a higher passenger to staff ratio. Most of the rooms on ship are premium rooms, a large rooms with balcony. That in itself is a premium feature on other cruise lines. My bet is you WILL get your money's worth.

I think that Oceania has some of the nicest cruises. They are more luxurious and have some of the best food in my opinion. The rooms are great, it is so nice to have the larger rooms on a cruise ship. Even with the better rooms on some lines, they can still be small. Oceanias are pretty nice. They are a smaller, more intimate line.

The only thing with Oceania is that it isn't real good for families with kids and more active people. There just isn't much for kids. It is a smaller ship, so you won't find much onboard. It is more of a luxirious, relaxing trip away from it all.

One important thing to keep in mind is the age range. The people on Oceania tend to be a little older than most lines, 50 and up or so. You will find very few if any children on board if that is what you are looking for. Those onboard do tend to be upperclass, older couples, but I've always seen very friendly people onboard.

I think that you will have a very nice time if the cruise line offers what you are looking for. It is far from a cruise like Carnival where everyone there is to party and have a good time. So if you are looking for something more like that, Oceania may not be the best choice.

Here is a good site to read reviews: http://cruisecritic.com/reviews/cruiseline.cfm?CruiseLineID=75

Hope this helps!
