It depends on your purpose in coming to Australia.
If you're plan is to simply visit Australia, you can apply for an electronic travel authority (ETA) visa for Australia. It allows you for multiple visits within 12 months from date of issue. But does not allow you to work in Australia. Check out http://www.nationalvisas.com.au/visitor/ETAvisainfo.htm for the requirements.
But if you want to work temporarily, what you need is a working holiday visa. You can travel Australia for 12 months with the option of part-time or casual employment. Although, you cannot work for for the same employer for more than six months and you cannot engage in study or training for more than 4 months. Here's the info http://www.nationalvisas.com.au/working/visarequirements.htm
For studying in Australia, you need to choose the type of visa that suits you. There are different types of student visas, for a bachelors degree, masteral/doctorate, or to study for a certificate.
I hope you can find the visa you need, good luck :)
