I live in Southern Calif about an hours drive from LA. The weather can be hot and humid but mostly it's been mild and warm the last few summers. You have to see Disneyland. San Francisco, a place I lived close to for many years, can be fickle in the susmmer. Warm one minute and foggy and cold the next.

Here is how the movie Camelot (Richard Harris and Vanessa Redgrave) puts it mildly.
"A law was made a distant moon ago here. July and August can not be too hot. By order summer lingers through September." Expect 80+ (deg. F.) in NYC and 90+ (deg. F.) in LA. I suggest you bring an umbrella in LA and a sweater in NY. If you are staying in the hotels, you can always find brochures in their lobbies. If not, pick up some brochures. They are free. |

LA in June: warm and comfy
NY in june and july: hot and hotter (don't be surprised if you see people wearing bikini's in the parks) *favorite thing for NY in july: Shakespeare in the Park King of Prussia: Pennsylvania?? If you like shopping you could drop by Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Hershey Park isn't that far either. If you love chocolate, I'd definitely drop by there. |
