I met this beautiful black woman 3 years ago on the internet looking for a husband. She's from Ghana, West Africa and it was love at first sight for me. We've been IMing each other for 3 years. The airfare is around $1500 round trip. However, The US Embassy in Accra, Ghana has a rule that it requires the person coming here to show a bank balance with enough in it so the visitor can show they will not become a ward of the federal government by not having enough money to stay for the 90 Day visa alowed to the visitor - non-immigrant.
That has been my problem. I don't have the money to send her to open a bank account there to show she will not become a charge to the US government. Does anyone know of a charity or government program that would pay her travel here round trip. If the government paid the travel and the charity donated say $3,000 for the bank account balance then this could get her here and we could get married. Would be grateful to anyone who can help. Unless you have met her face-to-face, you shouldn't be trying to bring her to the United States. It's an idiotic decision.
If you still feel like being an idiot despite this entire situation smacking of scam, talk to the embassies. I'm pretty sure that the government won't subsidise purchased brides aching for green cards. Aid agencies and the government only help refugees, as they should. |

Better search for options to travel to there. I'm sure that if you have visited Ghana you will understand better your partner because you will know where she comes from and why she is saying this or doing that.
Sure, as other people here ahve already told you, world is full of scammers, people who are tryingto get advantage from you. Girl might be desperate but you must be sure that it is because of you and not just trying to get away from Ghana and her world... and... well, better go there. |

Getting the money from "charity" isn't going to work.
1. The government requires that you show a history of meeting in person before they will issue a visa for marriage purposes. 2. The government requires that you show you can financially support a wife. They don't want to import another charity case into the country. 3. There are additional fines and fees that you are not going to be able to pay. 4. It's probably a marriage scam on her part anyway...especially since you say you are 77. People will say or do anything to get to the US. |
