My personal favorites are the Grand Canyon, Salida CO, and Taos New Mexico. I will vote for the most stupidesnt answer, so please be reasonable.

How about right here in Central California. The Sierra Nevada Mountains are very close. If you come here in the valley during summer, it can be very hot though. Try 120°F on a good summer.

But on a more serious note, Oregon is very, very nice around the middle of spring through early fall. The rest of the time it rains there.
