If MEXICANS are already working here in the USA can they travel inside the USA by plane using their passports?

The reason why Im asking is because i have friends who are Mexicans but are here in the US without any papers.We are planning to go on vacation in Hawaii and Las Vegas but they are scared because they might be interrogated or held in the Airport, is it this possible?? Do you have any mexicans friends who travel via PLANE only inside the USA but doesnt get in trouble?? And just use their I.D. or Passports as identifications.
What i mean by PASSPORT is their Mexican Passport issued by their Mexican Embassy here in USA and I.D. is their Mexican I.D. but not CA ID or Drivers License.... Can my Latino friends still travel within the USA only using this identifications??

All you need is an ID. You can travel anywhere within the US. Airport personnel are not INS agents and can't "detain" anyone. The only ID they need is an ID.

You don't need to have passports or visa's to travel within the United States. Those documents are only for international travel, meaning when you leave for other countries.

As long as they have a Drivers License, they are good to go.

LEGAL Mexicans (and any other aliens) have nothing to fear. Yes, people can and do get examined on domestic flights. This is becoming increasingly more common now.

As the interior enforcement of immigration laws becomes more popular, look for more arrests within the United States.

They should be very caution when traveling and they should just use an ID and not their passports. That will be a red flag if they use that and there is no visa in it. They could be detained and deported. Most latino names are also on a list where you can't pre-check in. I can never check in online I am required to wait in line because of my name even though I am American.

What passports? They can't be illegal and have genuine US passports. If they try and travel with foreign passports and are here illegally then Yes they could get in trouble.
