No they did not...no country in South America can...go to the Department of Homeland Security website and look at the countries that can travel to the US with out a VISA...i.e. Japan, England, France...etc...the only way a citizens of a country can come here without a VISA is if the country has an economy as good or better than ours...this keeps people from overstaying in the US...

No new countries have been added for some time, although several were taken off including, as you must know, Argentina. The President recently signed a Visa Waiver Program Reform Law, which might be what you're thinking of, but that redefines some provisions of the program without actually adding any new countries. The new provisions may make it easier for some countries to join this group at some point.

The Senate does not approve new entrants in the Visa Waiver Program. And at present there are only 27 VWP countries, and not much likelihood that any will be added anytime soon. As George said, Argentina was a member, but was removed several years ago. The current VWP countries are
Andorra Iceland Norway Australia Ireland Portugal Austria Italy San Marino Belgium Japan Singapore Brunei Liechtenstein Slovenia Denmark Luxembourg Spain Finland Monaco Sweden France the Netherlands Switzerland Germany New Zealand United Kingdom |
