Air fair is 2,000 dollars for 2 people. Hotels I can't answer but I took 90 pounds for 3 weeks and I came back with 45 pounds extra but I didn't stay in a hotel. I also didn't pay for food. The hotels there are probably no more than 200 pounds but I am not quite sure whether that's 1 night or how many nights it is. I am not experienced with hotels but I can tell you what to do to figure it out. Take the average hotel cost here and double it and then convert that to pounds. For example if its 200 a night then go 200*2= 400 and then its about 200 pounds because $400.00 is 200 pounds.

Hope it helps.

It really depends on when you're going as right now is the high season. In October, the prices will drop a bit.

That said, I think your airfare will be about $1,800 for the both of you, maybe a little less if you go during the low seasons.

Hotels in London are incredibly expensive, and not just because of the exchange rate. If you want to get a deal, you might want to check out the hotels in the Financial district, which drop their prices on the weekends. Easyhotels.com is also another chain, although it's very low frills. Millennium hotels also might be a good place to check. But I'm assuming you want to stay in a normal 4 or 5 star hotel. For that, plan to spend at least $250/night.

For spending money, bring a lot. Food is expensive there; shopping is too. I would say at least $100/day for the two of you would be the bare minimum. If you like Indian food, the Indian restaurants tend to be the places to go for cheap meals. Or go also in the department stores for a cheap lunch or the outside stands at the markets.

I'm in KY & I traveled there last yr. (alone) my ticket was $850 make sure you do the 14 day advance so you can save a little $$. Its fairly exspensive there so you want to take extra money for sightseeing I would say the trip will cost at least $4,500 for 2 which is a low guess LOL!! & before traveling try to get on their time zone at least a few days if possable (Its a 6 hour difference) have a safe trip.

My daughter, 2 grandsons an I flew to London at the end of may. We got our plane tix almost a year early and only paid $770 each for them. (We travelled from Nashville, TN). We stayed a few blocks walk away from Victoria Station and the room was about 100 pounds a night. You CAN find less expensive lodging if you do a lot of research- which my daughter thrives on! Food IS expensive- we were spending about 7.50 pounds ($15) a piece for lunch and dinner and if you want to stop for aftenoon tea with a sweet- like scones and clotted cream... yummy... that's at least 5 pounds each. A lot of the hotels provide breakfast. Pub food is reasonable. You can get 2 for 1 or discount coupons on line for some attractions like Westminster Abbey. Our entire trip for 4 people including airfare/hotels/transportation/food/attractions and souvenirs fo 2 weeks (we spent a week in the COtswolds and a week in London) was right about $8000. But like I said, we did TONS of research to get the most for our money. It was a fabulous vacation- hope yours is too!
