What do i need if i want to travel to USA if im living in UK but not a UK citizen?

I want to move to Texas in the future, but because im living in the UK but not a UK citizen (im currently resident here under my mother's ancestral visa) im wondering if there is any special visas i must get from my home country's government.

Finally do i need visas for holidays that would last a week or so?

Hi, Its difficult to say because you don't say what country you are from - I would contact your countries consulate & ask them what you need to do - hope that helps

You can look at the ESTA website to see if your country of origin allows you to travel under the visa waiver program, or if you'll need to apply for a visitors visa from the US Embassy. If you need a visa, apply to the US embassy in London.

Long term you'll need to apply for a working visa, etc. if you intend to stay and work in the USA.
