Will i need a visa to travel to chicargo, usa for 14 days?

im going to chicargo to see my sister for 14 days at the end of august. will i need a visa to go there?
ive seen somthing caused the visa waiver program but i dont understand waht it is
i forgot to say i live in the united kingdom, and i have a vailid passport

If you are American no you do not need a visa. If you are from another country you will require a passport. Visa's are only issued for extended stays, e.g. 6 + months or if you intend on working or going to school abroad.

if your outside the US then yes.

You can stay up to 6 months at most. Dont stay longer.

Visa waiver means you dont have a work visa or anything and just staying to visit for holiday etc.

You only need show it once, upon entering the country.

If you were born in the UK you don't have to apply for a visa to travel to America now.
