What do you think is the REAL reason there's a trade & travel embargo from the USA towards Cuba?

because the US would have its next door neighbour being a propserous communist nation. theyd lose influence on latin america if cuba was to be prosperous which it would be if the US traded with them

The Real reason, is the reason everyone is aware of and no one is denying as the reason , Their communist . China is communist too, but were sorta forced to play ball with them due to the chunk of change we owe them . God bless.

Wealthy Cubans and their families who fled during the Cuban revolution are a strong lobbying force that opposes opening relations with Cuba. They will continue to oppose it until they feel Castro has paid for taking their property even if it means every man woman and child in Cuba has to suffer.

I should read a few history books if i were you. The present day troubles all stem from the cold war, with really revolves round the terrible bay of pigs debacle and the following soviet missile crisis that very nearly the world very close to a nuclear war. Americans are paranoid about Communism, reds under the beds and the McCarthy investigation brought about fear and miss trust,.

Since then Cuba has been staunchly communist with Fidel Castro cocking a snoop at every american administration . The real truth of the matter is the americans hate the idea of Communism/socialism and so having a communist state 90 miles of the coast of florida brings about fears of bogey men and creeping communists infiltrating and threatening american society.

So Americans aren't even allowed to travel to Cuba and see for themselves what it's like? That's a bizarre policy for such a "free" nation.
