Default Travelling to Canada by Land, is Birth Certificate from America and American Citizenship Papers good enough?

We are from Michigan and my Family wants to visit Canada by Land. Getting a Passport these days takes at least 4-6 Weeks to process plus it costs money. Can we show to the Border Patrol my wife's American Citizenship Papers and my kids Birth Certificate? Is that good enough?

nope, those can all be forged, they passed a law a few years ago that all international travel requires a passport, too many illegals/drug smuglers etc where coming in from Canada because of the loose policy and how easy it is to print your own birth certificate.

Bottom line, if you leave the country and expect to get back in, you better have a passport.

youy will need an identification card with your name and picture and address on it. For now that is, because soon enough we will require you to use your passports to get in yankees... Muhuhuhhaha lol.

Driving across the boarder is still ok with a Birth Certificate until the end of this year. After that you will need a passport even to drive.
It is taking 4 months average sometimes more. Expedite is taking 5 weeks. to get a passport.

I have a client leaving next week and we are holding our breath. She might end up losing her trip.
