No smart comments or abuse please I am just looking for a bit of fun and a bit of travelling as there's not much in Ireland to do or see. I no its not just a matter of getting on a plane and I know I have to apply for a visa just want to know where the best place is to go and the best websites to visit for advice. I am well aware of recession in countries but i've also been told Dubai and Canada are the only ones not in recession as I said no Abuse or smart comments or telling me not to bother just friendly advice please!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Go to this link to find out if you qualify. It's not just as easy as getting on a plane, many things to consider and satisfy. Good luck.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/apply-who.asp Still follow this link, tons of info on entry qualifications for the period you are looking at. Canada is not as bad as some spots in the world but still in a recession. Southern Ontario is the most cosmo in the country. Hot spots like Vancouver, Calgary, and Montreal are neat as well but don't hold the level of diversity that the GTA has. |

Until you get permission from the Government of Canada, and a temp work permit in your hand, you cannot work at any job in Canada. Sorry that is our law.
Secondly, you cannot work in Canada, as a beauty therapist, unless you take and pass the certification course, for the Province in which you want to work. In other words, it isn't as easy as you thought it would be. Thirdly, Canada, along with the rest of the world is in the middle of a huge economic free fall. Haven't you been reading the newspapers this year ? We have hundreds of thousands of our own citizens who have no job, and you think that you can come here an find a job ? Not very likely , at all. If you want to come for a holiday, that's great, but forget about working in Canada. Jim B. Toronto. |

I'm in Calgary, and it hasn't been effected too badly by the recession, though we ARE in recession - there's one company here in Calgary that have announced they will soon lay off like 600 employees. It's not nearly as bad here yet as it is in the U.S., but it has gotten worse, and it will get even worse yet, before it gets better.
I would suggest any city with that is popular with tourists, as your line of work would probably be best afforded by those who can afford to travel at this time. |
