Unfortunately, you can't travel to Canada
UNLESS you have a valid passport. Years ago a US citizen could travel to Canada. All he needed was his state driver license and his birth certificate to show to the Canadian custom agent at the border. Now an American citizen needs a Passport to just visit Canada. That is because of what happened on 9/11.. I STRONGLY suggest that you contact your local or nearest Philippine Embassy or Consulate to get your passport updated AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!! You could be in some US legal troubles with an expired passport. - - - - - - |

You currently do NOT need a passport to travel between the US/Canada if you are travelling by land. If you are flying then YES, you do need a passport. Currently, travel via a highway accross the border you are requried to produce a goverment issued photo ID and proof of citizenship (ie, birth certificate, or citizenship card)
Your valid US greencard would be suffice to travel to Canada. Your expired passport can be used as your proof of citizenship. |
