as we all know that GST/PST procedures are different in both US and canada. i heard it on radio that if anybody travel from US to canada and buy anything in canada then he can refund his GST. is it true ...if yes then how it works and what's the procedure for this refund ...

As I recall from our visit to Toronto a few years ago, there are forms that you can pick up in hotels and maybe post offices. Place your receipts in the envelope associated with the form, and the Canadian government will mail you a check. It's a good system.

When in Canada, you pick up a Refund application - but make sure that it is one that goes to Summerside, PEI. The others are a rip off. You van get the good ones from Visitor Information. You can only get a GST refund on your Hotel Bill, if over $200, on for any merchandise receipts where the total purchased is at least $50.00.
