hospital birth certificate? You need certified copy of your birth certificate issued by the city, county or state. This does not sound like includes hospital birth Certificate. US Customs specifically lists hospital birth certificate as a no-no returning to the US for adults. It doesn't say about children but it's sounding questionable.
Also, there is a difference if you are traveling alone with your son, or with the father. |

Your son can travel from the US to Canada with only a birth certificate, but ONLY if both parents are accompanying him. If the baby is travelling with only one parent, that parent must have a notarized statement from the other parent that they have given consent for the baby to go on this trip.
It sounds draconian, but it's to prevent kidnapping and custody problems. |
