You are so sadly misinformed on two counts in this question.
1) It's a good thing to break stereotypical images of women, it's a good message to send to the extremists. 2)A group of Republicans were just there the other day. Hypocritical much. All you are proving is that you watch Fox News (unfair and imbalanced)...you should be embarrased. |

The bigger question is do we have to let her back into the country?
I'm thinking she's on a mandate from the Liberals to violate the Constitutional Separation of Powers as much as possible. I don't think us pointing out Middle Eastern culture is US being misogynist, Elway. And I have seen plenty of Liberals criticizing Rice for this same thing, but at least it is her job. |

The last I heard, she isn't Muslim. She went to Syria to find out what they have to say. Congress doesn't take Bush and company's word for anything anymore. I don't think they'll be voting on much without checking out the sources for themselves from now on. Good for her.

What is wrong with you misogynists in this country? The Middle East doesn't put women on the same level as men, but even they have enough sense not to show it when a female from another country is representing that country. They've been dealing with women heads of state for decades. They host Condoleeza Rice on a regular basis - do you think they think she's a man? It's the United States that has an issue with women leaders, not the rest of the world. They've been used to it for many, many years. We are the ones who seem confused about whether it's "okay" for a woman to be President. You have no clue when it comes to foreign relations. A woman representative from another country is treated with no less respect in a Middle Eastern country than a man would be. They may not seem civilized to the rest of us in a lot of cases, but in this case they have you beat all to hell.
