Well, my girlfriend and I went to San Francsico in Nov. & it was great. The weather is still nice and warm. There are tons of gay things to do. You can walk around holding hands and no one even looks at you - which is REALLY nice. Where we live, we don't have that option. We stayed at the Best Western Civic Center and loved it. There is tons of shopping and of course, all the touristy things. Ithaca NY is also a very liberal place. They actually call it "mini-san fransisco." It is a good place to go for hiking, as there are a ton of waterfalls and parks. It is also home to Cornell University and Cayuga Lake. I recommend the Super 8 there, the place is super clean and the rates are more reasonable then most in Ithaca. Then of course, there is the village in NYC. It is cheaper to stay outside of the city (in White Plains or Yonkers) and take the train in. Shopping, pleny of pride and as long as you are in the village itself it is safe to be gay. I don't recommend it outside of the village though - there are lots of crazy people. Las Vegas is super fun. We have been there several times and are going again in Feb. There are dyke clubs and bars. Off the strip on Freemont has the best gambling. We always have a blast when we go. And there are a lot of cheap hotels there. We have been there is August and it is sweltering hot. 120 degrees some days.
Definately visit tripadvisor.com to see what other people thought of any place you are thinking of staying!!! Have fun!
