to them?
If you can specify the country and what specific law is enforced, I'd appreciate it. I'm sort of doing research for my gay friends who are planning to travel over seas. So, traveling to Meccah, Indonesia, Egypt, Dubai are out of question? I heard these places are beautiful and full of history. The couple I'm doing planning for are middle aged couple who's been together over 20 years. Their dream is to see these places together. |

Depends on where they are... which countries are they going to?
Tehran in Iran would be fine (young, progressive cultural center)-- though I would avoid the rest of Iran Stay away from Saudi Arabia and Pakistan Non-theocratic Islam-dominant states like Turkey, Tunisia and Morocco all have major cities with lots of tourists and even small gay scenes-- they would just have to be careful about where exactly they went The UAE is really rich and liberal, so most places there would be fine. --- Dubai should be no problem, and as long as they're discrete and careful about where they go in Indonesia/Egypt, they should be fine-- stick to big cities, stay in higher-tourist areas etc. Mecca-- I would forget that. Saudi Arabia can be a scary, scary place if you're not a petro-Prince, or if you're not best friends/business partners with one-- especially if you're gay. |

Make you have to sit from then on to take a pee.
It is called amputation of the manly thing. So if you know anyone who ever goes to such a country tell them to be ware of the laws of displaying affection in public to a same sex person. The consequences can be deadly |
