Yes, actually it is! You get married based upon similar interests. And if neither one of you like the same thing, one person has to be willing to compromise, now if neither one of you want to do that...then your relationship will slowly go down hill. So i suggest trying some things he likes, then another week do something you like.

Not really. You have to learn to compromise on things. Sometimes I'll make things my husband loves to eat for dinner and I think are not so hot, the next night I fix something I love and he thinks isn't so hot. If we truly hate and can't eat something we get it when we go out to dinner. Television shows we alternate and I've gotten so I kind of like some of the ones he likes alot. Traveling is another matter. All you can do is alternate where you want to go and the next time where he wants to go. My husband and I have very different likes and dislikes. Our 37 year anniversary is in October so I guess it's worked out okay for us.

My husband and I are so much the opposite of eachother that we actually complement eachother really well. the only things we have in common are our love for eachother and fishing. But, we each respect that the other is into different things and we work with it.

No, not really. Our tastes are like chalk and cheese in comparison. Everything from musical tastes to food, we just accept each others differences and unite on the interests we do have in common. Does cause little arguments but nothing you both can't laugh about after
