What foods should I avoid if I am pregnant and travel to Taiwan?
I am hoping that I am pregnant this month, although I am going to be traveling to Taiwan to visit my sister in the beginning of February. I would be roughly 5-6 weeks when we leave, and iI am wondering if anyone knows specific foods to avoid while traveling there. I am also wondering about the water, flying for 14 hours, and what other things to watch out for. I won't know if I am pregnant for another week and a half, but I would like to do a bit of research before we go to be prepared just in case. I am aware of avoiding raw fish and seafood containing mercury, but are there other foods that we don't have in the states that could be harmful in Taiwan? Thanks for anyone's input.
