Why is the Travel Channel making stupid shows about how great Fast Food is?

The Travel Channel was such a great channel. Now it's crap.

Commercial TV, like most media is an advertising business, not an entertainment business. Apparently, someone in charge thinks that programming will attract viewers and therefore advertisers. It doesn't sound so interesting to me either, but then neither does watching people play poker, and that seems to be popular. Point is, we can't judge everyone elses' taste by our tastes. Ratings will tell the story.

Sorry for the off-topic, I just wanted to ask a question. I remember travel channel with a nice yellow sun logo and fine melody (with quick-step rhythm) (Everybody need somebody...), but I am not finding any tracks of it in the internet. Is that the same channel we are talking about? And also I remember a wonderful programme about making food with a French looking English guy who liked wine a lot and cleaned his oily, meaty or anything hands by just brushing it to his closes.
