Default Does anyone else get sick while watching the "exotic" food shows on the Travel Channel?

Granted I've only ever watched them once out of morbid curiosity. I understand that in different areas of the world, people eat different things due to culture and the like, but most Americans don't find that kind of thing appetizing which makes a show pf that subject matter aimed at Americans an odd thing. I'm a carnivore as much as the next person, but some things are not meant to be eaten. So why the fascination with it and why are they so popular?

Yes, I do get a little sick. I agree with you completely. I know what peaks my interest is what other people eat. I quess because here in America it is considered taboo to eat Brains, or Spiders or anything exotic.

I know!! I only watched one of those programs you are talking about last week. First time, and will be the last time. It was just too gross for me. I think a lot of people just like to be shocked. Not me. I'm from the old school where peanut butter and jelly is good enough for me. lol

i dont like looking at outdoor markets or back street cafes that offer a cheap inexperienced reporter an experience of a lifetime cuisine under 15 dinars!
