i think your not supposed to take out babys traveling far distance till like their six months...because their really small and barley born...so they get sick way faster than regular adults...so sorryy...but if i was you...i'd wait...for the sake of your baby's health...

I would love to go see my family in Europe with our 4 month old baby girl. But my husband and pediatrician are saying to wait until she is 6-8 month old. We also have a friend who traveled with her 4 month son overseas and he was fine. On the other hand we have a friend who flew overseas wit a 7 month old and he became very sick when they came back. I would say that the best time is determined by you and your baby. If you feel that you are ready you can try to travel. I will wait until my daughter is about 7-8month, I don’t think she is ready now and I don’t really want her to suffer for 10 hours in a plane yet.

Also remember that with the new passport laws, every US citizen (even newborn babies) need a passport to travel outside and to return to the US.

We went to Hawaii when my daughter was 2 months old to visit my in-laws. I know that Hawaii isn't a different country, but it was over a 17 hour trip from Wisconsin, and it was cleared by her pediatrician and my OB (he wanted me to wait until my 6 week check up.)

It should be alright around 6 months, it really is dependent on how far you are travelling, what country you are visiting and the health of your baby. Seek advice from your doctor before you travel to get a definate ok for your baby to travel.
