Default Okay, i am writing a story about a family traveling west in 1814...?

please tell me some common names (first and last) around that time...please also tell me anything important that i really don't want to mess up...i've done a little research so far but nothing major and i don't want to mess up. Like what time of year did they move? And from where? What are some common places they moved from? And where to? Oregon? Please help me i will be ever so grateful. Ten points to best answer :)

Let's See, Some common names back then would prob be Annie, Laura, Sarah, Billy. Your family should prob move from Kentucky, or anywhere in the midwest. the place they should move could be oregon or california
