Crayons, markers or color pencils and coloring books always work well with my kids. There are also fun things you can do with play-doh, or you might even want to pack a small bag with dress-up clothes. Another thing that I had fun doing with my daughter was to make beaded jewelry (necklaces, bracelets, etc), and all you need is elastic cord and some large or small beads. Little girls love most of these things!
None of these things would take up a lot of room in the trunk of a vehicle. Hope this helps, and you have a fun time! :) |

puzzles are good, my daughter is 5 and she's starting to do the 63 piece puzzles, blocks or leggos, girls enjoy leggos too!! a couple barbies, with extra clothes. My daughter is very curious, so when we go out to hospitals, hotels anything like walking the halls and just telling her about what she sees is a fun thing for her. Teach her things she needs to know for school if she's not in school yet, things like phone number, address.
