What is a creative thing to do with postcards you receive from your family and friends travels?

You could make a collage with it, and frame it, that would be neat.

Make a collage, or, if you can get hold of one of those folding screens, you could cover that with them.Then give it a coat of clear varnish. Bear in mind though that once you've stuck them down you'll no longer be able to read the messages on the back.

make greeting cards with them...premade cards and stick on the postcard...write a greeting on the front --good generic cards!
