Italy - Should I rent Hotel or Apartment if I am traveling with Family?

I am traveling to Italy this month, 3 cities - Rome, Florence and Venice. I am traveling with my family (5 members) hence instead of renting 2-3 rooms at a hotel, I was wondering if renting out apartments would be a better option.

Also, are there any sites where I can get such apartment listings for these 3 cities.

hi.im lving in italy.i will say that it will be better 4 u to rent an aparment rather than going 2 a hotel.it will cost u less & u will be more free with ur family.here u can get a lot of studios.2 bedroom apartment.
