I'm planning to spend two weeks in Romanian Black Sea coast ( Saturn resort), but I don't want only to lie on a beach. So, maybe anyone will recommend me some places to see? Anyway, if you have anything to share about Romania and vocations there, go ahead. Thanks in advance!
PS: I'm 19, take this into account please :D |

I've been to Mangalia-Saturn but it was ages ago and I'm sure much has changed. I would prefer going to other countries in Eastern Europe but it's a matter of taste and preference anyway... so hard to say what is "good" and what isn't. Should be very cheap for any "Westerner" still. Check these out for some current info:

I seriously do not think that`s a good idea for 19 year old single girl to visit Romania.
There is so much powerty and crimes. After soviet union collapsed, everybody lost their jobs there, and the citizens live practically by farming and robbing from each others and of tourists that happens accidentally to stop by. If you want some exitement to your life, I suggest you find some ultimate slum from the country where people at least speak english, and where there is embassies, public phones and phonebooks. |

Well, I don't mind the previous answerers, they don't know anything about Romania. Like all Romanians are farmers and rob one other, are you serious? Have you people visited Romania before Christ? Try 2006. Romania is a very beautiful country, with wild and untouched sceneries, with lots a highly educated people, welcoming cities, and many, many interested place to visit. I can't say I've been to Saturn, but I go every year to another Romanian Black Sea resort, and still not having enough of it. Yeah, there are some poor people in Romania, but you won't see thousands of homeless people or bad neighborhoods one'd need a tank to pass through in the middle of the day - and talk about organized crime or terrorist groups. Romania is OK, as a matter of fact, it's to be a member of EU starting next year. So, enjoy your vacation!
PS: Although under its influence, Romania was not part of the Soviet Union. |

Let me start by saying that almost all romanian speak english. So it will be easy for you there. And you should go to Costinesti. Is the student resort and is not far from Saturn. Also you can go to Mamai, Eforie Sud and Eforie Nord, Neptun, Olimp, Jupiter and of corse Constanta. There are many nightclubs.
