Cat costa asta? If you can afford it, the best bet is as already suggested in the previous answer... most standard airfares will cost about a grand ($1000). Funny thing about trips to/from Romania is that whether they're one way or round trip tickets, there's not a huge difference in price. If you're looking to save a few $$, you should fly into New York from Otopeni, and either take a smaller flight or train/bus or combo to MI from there. I don't mind looking into it further for you. I've been able to get great prices from BOS to OTP several times using this method:
1) Use travelocity.com or one of the other on-line discount airfare agencies to get the very best price. When searching from OTP to your destination, leave the travel date(s) set to "best available fare" and then choose from there to make sure the seats are actually available. Travelocity, in particular, will update the availablility once you narrow down the dates. Then,
2) Once you've found the cheapest seats... use one of the on-line bidding sites. In the US, I use priceline.com and bid about $100 to $200 lower, and usually get the tickets. If you bid even lower, they'll come back with their best price and not lock you in. Good Luck, la revedere, and NOROC! Pace!
