Greece isn't Eastern Europe but as for Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Russia, Poland, etc... many of them are people coming from very difficult environments.
Of course no nation is full of "all good" or "all bad" people but there are cultural differences that some people may misunderstand. Generally I've found eastern Europeans to be quite defensive... almost teetering on rude at times. They are just maintaining their space until they know you (IMHO). It'd be interesting to know what motivated your question. ;-) |

Greece is not an Eastern European country.
It's in the South part of Europe like Spain , Italy, Malta . Also the political and cultural situation in Greece was and is the same with "Western" Europe. Now about the other countries that you say, they are OK. In all the countries there are good and bad people. |
