It seems that NATOs involvement in Kosovo is part of a larger move by International powers to begin buy off Kosovo. They're military involvement in the area has already encouraged a huge sex trade, I hope this backfires bigtime.
http://www.workers.org/2008/world/kosovo_0207/ kisser: The question is implied by the title. I'll reword it for you. Do you think the actions taken in Kosovo are the classic divide and conquer strategy to gain wealth from Eastern Europe? Also, read the artical again, there is a huge increase in the sex slave. Here's a quote directly from the artical, "An Albanian living in New York told Workers World recently that he knows many families in Kosovo and Albania that have had to sell their daughters to get the remittances from their work in the sex trade." Here's a seperate article showing a huge increase in sex slave business since NATO's involvement: http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/may2004/050704natoforce.htm and another: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/3686173.stm Don't you wish I was making this up? Also my plain would be to stay the hell out of a sovereign nations business. |

Right, and the take here is that the US support of Kosovar independence is more of a strategy to weaken and divide the European Union's resolve to unify the eastern part of the continent as well as provoke animosity along religious lines between
a. Roman Catholics, (Rome and France, Spain, Germany, etc.), b. Orthodox Catholics (Serbs and the Russians), and c. Muslims (per complicated Middle-East manipulations....) Just disgusting. One wonders what the "blow-back" will be in 10 to 50 years in the region - and whether this will push some European countries further away from American influence - as if it hasn't eroded enough already. ----------------------------------------------- I am an American living in Europe, and the cynical, absolutely manipulative and contradictory foreign policy coming out of this Administration is just disgusting. |

You just answered your own question. All these mentioned reasons for supporting Albanians are ridiculous. That province is heaven for criminals, and supporting their independence is like independence from common sense. Null and void. Unless...
I am really surprised with objectivity of this article, though. "This is defeat of Europe and not of Serbia that refused to bow to force". |
