Poland - Krakow is a beautiful city, good shopping opportunities, food is cheap and tasty
Ex-Yugoslavia - Sarajevo is quite different, beautiful architecture and culture. Mostar is also worth checking out. However, it is very hot in the summer, so it is better to visit it during spring. If you are in Moster, Croatia is not far away, and you could visit Dalmacija, which is the coast of Croatia. Dubrovnik is also a must-see. Other cities: Zagreb and Beograd Czech Rebublik - Brno and Prague. Prague has everything - shopping, good food, culture, nightlife. Romania - Bucuresti has a good nightlife and shopping. |

try Ohrid, Macedonia. It's breathtaking, amazing, beautiful, with unesco protected lake (one of the oldest in the world), with 365 churches, 4 every day of the year (Ohrid is the place where christianity was first introduced in Europe), place of the first european university, place with great traditional food, grat hospitable people, cheap prices...

I can also recommend Slovenia from the bottom of my heart; not only for the great mountainous area by Lake Bled in the north but also because of the great beaches and warm weather in the southern part of Slovenia, particularly in Portoroz area! It is indeed cheap and not too crowded with tourists, and the people there are very friendly and speak English.
