yup your right it is madness or politics. lets see how the pro Europeans are when the bill comes in to keep many of them in Britain IE the underage Romanians who are just going to social services. good luck paying your council taxes and income taxes and indirect taxes, and hey when your about 90 maybe just maybe you will get a pittance of a pension, do the math too many people not enough money in the pot, but hey you don't need a visa to travel in the EU and you get cheap flights, sounds good to me. as they say do deals with the devil and sooner or later you will pay the price, not me i have lots of money and im off to the states. so hey good luck

In case you're too young to remember--and never bothered to stay awakein history class--Eastern Europe was never the enemy--the Soviet Union was. The Eastern European countries were under the political control and military occupation of the Soviets. And not voluntarily--look at the Hungarian revolt (1956), the Czech "Prague Spring" (1968), and the events following the tearing down of the Berlin Wall.

The Eastern Europeans fought the Soviets too--as much as they could. And a lot of them died. Your post is an unforgivable insult to them--and if you have any decency whatsoever, you'l post an apology.

Try to learn at least a LITTLE history,!

We did not spend a penny fighting eastern Europe. We fought against the Communists who happened to rule eastern Europe. The communists are mostly extinct, except for the Mayor of London and a few other mental defectives, so now eastern Europe can join the rest of the semi-civilized world.
