Eastern Europe is more "hardcore" not to say that western inst, their politics are poor, many left wing socialist parties are still there, most of eastern Europe is orthodox and eastern Europeans are good at mathematics and memorization, theology is mostly old and the army still uses old soviet tanks (T 55 and T72) the economy of Bulgaria is becoming larger and larger by the day but many ecological problems (in Bulgaria)

Well, I think, the Eastern Europeans tend to build their houses more on the eastern side of Europe and the West European settle more in the western areas ~~~ and they both have their own way of doing things, and talking, and stuff like that!!!
LOL I hope this helps. |

Apart of the answer is that whereas the Western Europe was religiously the daugther of the Roman Church, the Eastern Europe predominately has received the lights of Christanism (and those of civilization) from the New Rome, that is Constaninople (Byzantine Empire).Another difference is that whereas the Western Europe manged generaly to form (albeit in a tortuous way) nation-states whose origin goes back to medieval kingdoms, the peoples of Eastern Europe in the same period were subjects to various empires and had to wait until the end of First World War to form their own nation-states
