Are Islam and Eastern Europe a threat to the UK?

From reading the Yahoo Answers UK, this is the impression that I get. Am I right? "Islam taking away freedoms" "Eastern Europeans taking away jobs" Hmm?
How is this a bait? Answer yes or no. That simple.

All religion is a threat to a free, secular society. Islam, as an Abrahamic faith, is perhaps more of a threat than downbeat, atrophied CofE style Xtianity.

Islam is a threat to everyone.

It is almost if they stick around they can kid themselves that they really are a big party and will win the next general election.

However then they will find out that it is not just people on yahoo that get the vote.

One has to look at the situation through the eyes of a Muslim before one can come to a yes or no answer.

Muslims tend to inhabit oil rich lands and they also realise that the #West is either propping up despotic regimes in those lands or - if the despots rebel and decide to sell oil to the wrong people - removing leaders and replacing them with puppets.

This leads to a certain powerlessness amongst Muslims who see things - like atrocities in Gaza - which are a daily occurrence - yet get little publicity - unless Israel starts an all out war. The people of Gaza were granted a licence to get flowers out of Gaza only yesterday - this licence wa granted by Israel. What is a state - with a democratically elected government - doing to ensure that it has political and economic autonomy? Hamas can do very little to upset the absolute control Israel has over Gaza. The borders of Gaza are patrolled and controlled by israel - and Egypt has to jump when Israel's calls.

Just say that the borders of America were controlled by Russia (who for imaginary purposes had taken over Canada and brought Mexico into line). No imports or exports were allowed into or out of America without Russian authority. The water and electricity can be turned off and government builds bombed on the basis that Russia claims it is defending her territory. America has no munitions of its own and sufferes food, water and basic essential supplies, including building materials. so when buildings are bombed it is difficult to rebuild them. The sea is patrolled by the Russian navy and all ports may be closed at a moments notice.

How would you feel if you lived in this sort of America?

Put yourself in the shoes of the people of Gaza before you condemn all Muslims.

Islam: Yes. If you have to ask, you have NOT been paying attention the last several years.

Eastern Europe: Probably not. It will depend on Putin and Russia as to what happens over the next few years. I don't see him as militarily threatening the UK or Western Europe at this time. He has too much on his plate with his own economy. He would very much like to gather back the lost Eastern Bloc nations but he knows he will never get them all back without a major war. I don't believe he wants that.

No the biggest threat to you are the UK and American governments.

As some others say - Islam is the real long term threat as they want to destroy the whole Western way of life - and the Koran says that ANY means necessary is justified in "converting" (they mean conquering) people.

Islam is a threat - even TO Eastern Europe.

My wife has family over there and, like here, the word "muslim" is whispered with bated breath and only after ensuring nobody is listening.
