In Europe we love him, almost no one over here would've voted for McCain. People think Obama's very charismatic, friendly and very intelligent, so a very positive view. In my class we're about 20 students and only one hoped McCain would win.
Most people think McCain and Palin are really stupid, it's a joke to people here that they had a chance to run a country. |

Both candidates got a lot of TV coverage here in France , In the polls ( if you trust such things) it turns out that 69% of Europeans support Obama and wanted him to be President. People are excited because it's a historical moment and we see on our television sets what it used to be like only 40 odd years ago in America where black people couldn't even sit beside white people on the bus and so on, so i would say that most European people are excited by Obama and his personal history i.e.; being born of mixed race parents in Honolulu ? at a time where mixed race marriages where banned in America, on the TV you can see people in Kenya celebrating ( his father and grandmother are Kenyan) people are eager to know about him and his rise through politics, people follow these elections on television because this is making important history.
