I know Jews suffered under Catholic Western Europe (eg. the inquisition). What about Eastern (Orthodox) Europe?
In WWII at least, the Orthodox & the Jews seem to share the same tragic story at the hands of their occupiers. I see Russia's a good example. What about the Balkans? |

Reading never harms
The word pogrom comes from the infamous habit of the Russian czars to unleash the rabble on the Jewish settlements. Like in the west antisemitism went up and down in Eastern Europe. It depended largely on the need of money of the local rulers and thir solvability. Your remark on WWII makes no sense. |

Ummmm... have you ever noticed how many Jews have suffered under ISLAMIC rule? WHY are you "picking" on Christianity as the "perveyors" of oppression???? Christians have been persecuted throughout history, and still today, too!
Have a blessed day. |

the jews have been persicuted through out History the Russians are guilty of this as well as the west. However Orhtodox Christians in the Muslim controled lands have been persicuted and butchered just as bad as the Jews in Europe and living along side them.
I am Orthodox and i can state that the Church is a hospital for the sick as my faith has included folks like Vlad the Impaler |
