Default What travelling to Eastern Europe like?

Is it true that it is easier to gain experience by travelling Western Europe first? I've heard that Eastern Europe can be dodgy in some places that you may go to. Also are the women really hot from Eastern Europe?

Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech, Hungary, Serbia, Croatia???

This all depends on the traveller. If you are more of a spend-money, sight-seeing tourist then I would recommend western Europe for obvious reasons. Eastern Europe, though it has its shopping attractions, is more about the historical factors and tranquility of nature. You really find yourself in these countries. The views are unbelievable and the history is remarkable. I refuse to take sides though, I love every aspect of Europe equally and love to sight-see yet relax at the same time. The "dodgy" places you can, well, dodge! Research on which places are safer than others. I would stick with the capitals of each country but it's the smaller cities that contain the real nature of the country. It's all about research, really.

As for the women, I think yes! Women in Europe are more natural-looking and are not forced to be skinny and beautiful as they are here in America; they are born this way. Good luck with your travels.

eastern europe is a maveling and beautiful place to travel, they have wild mountains and more castles than the west. they even have more nightclubs that even young teens are allowed to go to! you have to visit poland, the food is great, the old cities like krakow and warsaw have beautiful achitecture and if you vist wroclaw, theres always a concert in their town square. some cities are sad remains of the horrible WWll effects like aszwitz(dont know if i spelled it right) and you can be more in-touch with the past and history, they can teach you about concentraion camps in school, but thats nothing compared to acually visiting the actual place, its a life changing expirence. eastern europeans are also some of the most kind and hospitable people you will ever know, if you were to lose your wallet on the street, most easties would run after you and return it(at least polish people do), and the women are beautiful, skinny, and so natural, not using all that makeup and drugs americans do. also romania is a beautiful country to visit, you have mountains(if your the hiking type), also you can visit the actual dracula's castle where the actual man vlad dracula lived. ive heard many things from people who never been there and live off of out-dated info like "its full of gypsies" or "the whole county is poor and like a giant slum". that was romania 15 years ago, because of the revolution, and completly untrue now. and from people who've acually been there i hear "i love going to romania because you can NEVER get bored there" and "i have never met more understanding and tolerant people". and its true! the people are soooo nice, even pick pockets will hand your stuff back if they are caught(unlike most pick pockets in other countries) and yea, they have the rumours going around that romanian women are the prettiest, and they know how to have fun too! plus its less crowded that the west so you dont have to wait and hour in line just to buy lunch! i give my top recomendations to you and you can email me to tell me about your expeirience! have fun!

The girls in eastern Europe could properly be hot looking if the decided to shave their mustaches. However if you are looking for hot girls, go to the Scandinavian countries, its way more expensive up there, but they have whit out doubt the best looking girls in the world,

Get yourself a good guidebook, the Lonely Planet series are reliable and contain all info you need.
Many people in eastern Europe have learned a little English and many a lot.
Often they may be a little shy to speak if they think their control of the language is not good enough, but as they are very helpful (in general) you will get an answer when you ask a question.
(In case you do not, write down the main words of your question, it might be your pronunciation that is different to what they are used to.)

As I am a woman, not interested in same sex relationships, I can not give a definitive answer, but I do know that both in the east and the west of the continent there are many different kinds of people.
Many girls in Eastern Europe spend a lot of time and money on their looks, many girls in the west ignore what they look like, (and the other way round of course.)

I am a female who travelled to Czech Republic, Slovenia and Croatia by myself and had absolutely no problems whatsoever!!!

In fact they all rate as my favourite places to travel!!
I found the people there very real and the places were amazing....I couldn't beleive the sense of history in each place. I had a nice relaxed feeling in all the places I travelled and highly recommend them as places to go to
