If you're going to Rome...get the Roma Pass. It might take a while to find where to buy it (we got ours at Rome train station) but it's worth it! Check into travel passes for public transport to save you money (instead of buying individual trips). Eat at the "hole in the wall" places - they're often the best. Keep in mind that lots of restaraunts have a built in fee just for sitting down so find somewhere that is take-away if you don't really need to sit down. Watch the prices everywhere - they tend to be more if you're not very aware! Have fun!
