Where are some good places to travel around the world on a low budget?

i am wanting to travel to mainly australia, but it is so expensive! are there any great travel deals(like dates and so on...) where i can get a round trip ticket under $500? europe? asia? africa?

Bali is a very beautiful place for traveling, Bali has many places to offer with variety reasonable price, and from there you can go around other places and island around Indonesia depend what you want to do and go, I can give you contact person that can help you to arrange your trip.

travel is expensive, there are probably some nice places that you haven't seen in your own home state or in this country, if money's the problem stay close to home, it's not worth going into debt just to say you went overseas.

India. Visit the Himalayas or chill out on the beaches of Goa. India offers thousands of options to suit all budgets.

I agree with Mahua and me2006--Bali and India are both wonderful places that can accomodate a wide range of budgets, especially if you go outside of the main tourist spots. I'd add Mexico to the list--in the past I would fly into Cancun, take a bus (an experience in itself!)to Playa del Carmen or points beyond. For a really economical stay, look up youth hostels (if travelling by yourself)or specials on the internet (if you can share costs with a friend.)

i think it is China. the climate is good and there are so much places of interest,such as the great wall, the forbidden city, the summer palace... the most important, it is quite cheap to visit China.

I agree China is a great place to visit use busses they are cheap and reliable and you also get a chance to meet the locals, you won't forget China in a hurry.

Target the poorer countries...ie Africa (Botswana, Kenya etc ) India, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Pakastain etc not only can you travel in an extreamly cheap way, but these countries also offer you an insight into another world, diverse living standards, humanity at a different level than what you are use to, culture and tradtions.

It will change your life and views...

If you like Europe, go to Prague in the Czech Republic. The city is known for being economically-friendly to tourists. Plus, it is absolutely beautiful.
