Is there any help for a disabled mom who needs to travel to see her Premature baby?

I need help with gas to go see my premature baby.I was put the hospital twice . II am disable and just found out i have a leaky valve in my and a heart mumur.My husband and I are both disabled. He has had to come see in the hospital the last two months.It cost 35.00 for him to go to the hospital and back home.I had my little girl Last sunday. She was 5 weeks early. She is in the hospital.For me to go see her it is 35.00 round trip. Is there anyone who could help?

You need to talk to the social worker that works for the hospital. They have a tremendous amount of resources available to people who have financial / transportation issues while their child is hospitalized.

I would talk to the social worker at the hospital, or check with your church. Surly there is some one in your area that can help. Good luck.

If I was you, I would ask the hospital. Sometimes they have funds for situations like yours.

Ask your local Human Services Department. I see them in my area taking people all the time for dr. appts., and etc. They maybe able to take you to see your little girl. Does the hospital where your baby is at have a place that you can stay, which is another option?
