DISABLED TRAVELLERS: tell me about your travel problems & experiences!?

Hello everyone,

I'm a final year design student & I'm doing my thesis on accessibility issues on public transport systems. I'm looking for any kind of insight you can give me on what its like to travel by public transport if you have a disability.

I'm especially interested in the opinions of wheelchair users who travel by train, but I'd love to hear travel stories, problems and experiences (good AND bad!) that you've had.

I'm trying to get an idea of the problems faced by everyday users of transport systems...buses, trains, trams, even taxis, so that i can (hopefully) design a solution!

That's a very good ambition I have noticed most of the closets are the low type and not the raised handicap type. I like to call them adult size! :)
