i've never been personally but my parents took one last summer, said it was freezing the whole time. So it's probably warmer to go in the summer, but it's still really cold.

As far as weather, the summer months are going to be warmer, like around July. The best thing is to go to: http://www.weather.com/weather/wxclimatology/monthly/graph/USAK0012?from=36hr_bottomnav_undeclared and then search for the areas you will be visiting. The link I gave you is the averages for Anchorage. This will give you more accurate information.

Alaska cruises are wonderful, one of my favorites.

Travel agencies, I have been using an agent with http://cruisingco.com/ for several years now. They are absolutely wonderful, one of the best companies I have dealt with. The benefit to their company is that they are large enough to offer you special discounts and things on cruises that they have groups with, but yet they still give you a personal touch. My agent always gets back to me in minutes of e-mailing her, I swear sometimes it is like I am her only client. I think they are wonderful.

I hope this helps!

July is the warmest month. I did the cruise in early September and was wearing shorts and tshirts during the day. On board the ship is always warm. The only day it is extremely cold is when you are at the glaciers. It will be cold there no matter when you go. Make sure you have a warm wet weather jacket for this day.
